my best friend gave me that scarf.

David Dyer-Bennet (also known as the husband of Pamela Dean) took this photo during a play reading at Fourth Street Fantasy, a small, smart, and fun convention. It is one of four good pictures of me in the known universe (and two of those were taken by MaryAnn Harris). I should add here that I have been wearing bifocals since I was in nursery school. Which leads us to ...

The photo below was (probably) taken at Sears around my fourth birthday. (My mother is off camera, small-child-sized bifocals in hand.) And yes, I know that it doesn't really look like me -- that hairstyle! that ridiculous hand placement! -- but it is.

please note how everything matches perfectly. this was how my mother *always* dressed me.

Read descriptions of me by various people.
Send me email to tell me if I look like you thought.
